Description
Under OSHA 1910.134 (k), the employer shall train each of their employees on the use, maintenance, and care of their respirator. This course meets those requirements. This online course allows the student to take this course at their leisure and at their own pace. There is a multiple choice exam at the end of the course that the trainee must pass to receive the training certificate for this course.
What you will learn
Requirements of the Respiratory Protection Program Standard OSHA 1910.134; hands-on use and care of the different respirators; why the respirator is necessary and how improper fit, use, or maintenance can compromise its protective effect; limitations and capabilities of the respirator, effective use in emergency situations, how to inspect, put on and remove, use and check the seals, maintenance and storage; recognition of medical signs and symptoms that may limit or prevent effective use.
