Description
According to Article 32 of the NYS Mold Law, it shall be unlawful for any contractor to engage in mold assessment on a project, or to advertise or hold themselves out as a mold assessment contractor unless such contractor has a valid mold assessment license. In order to get the Mold Assessment License an individual must take this course. The course takes 4 days to complete and a final exam at the end of the course must be passed.
What you will learn
Health effects of mold, proper personal protective equipment use for mold remediation, writing a mold remediation plan, proper sampling methods, discussions of the various sampling methodologies including bulk, swipes and air, and review of NYS Mold Law, and accepted industry standards. Supplemental course manual is AIHA’s “Recognition, Evaluation, and Control of Indoor Mold.”
