Handling Difficult Situations

Description

This one day course has been developed in partnership with NHS England and Escalla and is for anyone delivering care within the Health and Social Care setting. We will cover how to confidently handle difficult situations within your work environment, how to communicate effectively and with compassion. This also includes how to look after your own well-being in a compassionate way.

What you will learn

We have also incorporated into the day; understanding communication styles and behaviours. How to develop communications skills to enhance your interaction with those you care for and their families. Helping individuals to feel listened to and empowered to communicate their choices and decisions about their care and what matters to them, especially around sometimes difficult subjects. Also, ensuring that their needs are communicated clearly within written or digital documentation.

You will also come away having refreshed your own communication skills, which will help you with work colleagues, work partners and how to communicate your own needs in a way that is empowering, caring and professional.
