Description
This BTEC Level 5 Certificate is accredited by the examining body Edexcel and is made up of 4 days of practical training, in addition to pre-course work and a post-course assessment.
The face-to-face training elements will enable learners to apply their knowledge and understanding of the methods and processes of cyber investigations to either a live cyber incident or a simulation of a cyber incident.
Learners will be able to put their learnt skills and knowledge into practice as they are required to explore and demonstrate the methodologies that are used to investigate a potential cyber-crime. Learners are required to demonstrate adherence to current legislation and the Codes of practice throughout the live or simulated cyber incident.
Learners will need to produce their own set of cyber investigative plans for a given incident and should show how they will use selective and appropriate information collection processes and investigative opportunities.
They must also be able to identify the authorisations, policies and procedures required as part of their plan for their designated incident or simulation.
Anyone having completed Part 1 of our Certified Cyber Investigator Qualifications (CCI) is eligible to complete this course to become a Certified Cyber Investigator CCI.
