Who should attend
Anyone who needs to carry out periodic inspections of ladders, step ladders and combination ladders.

Pre-requisites
It is a requirement that learners for this course have completed the Ladder Association Ladder and Steps training course, and it would be beneficial if delegates had a basic understanding of work at height issues

What you will learn

Course aims
To give learners the required competence level to enable them to carry out periodic inspections of ladders, step ladders and combination ladders in accordance with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations.

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the course the learners will know how to:

Accurately record details of ladders and steps
Identify component parts using industry naming conventions
Thoroughly inspect ladders, stepladders, and identify safety critical faults
Record your findings in accordance with the statutory requirements (as outlined in PUWER ACOPs 163)
Recommend action to be taken if faults are found
