Description
A one-day legal training course, designed to provide all professionals who are required to write technical reports, with the necessary skills to prepare their reports to best practice standards.
Often reports are written in a format or style that makes them difficult to read so that their impact is lost. Many reports fail to identify and deal with the issues in the case. Technical Report Writing allows both new and experienced report writers to look at how they are writing reports. It includes analysing style, grammar and layout, and aims to improve the standards of their report writing.
What you will learn
This one-day technical report writing course will ensure delegates fully understand what is involved in writing a technical report. They will consider the content of reports by considering the source and weight of evidence to be included, and learning to distinguish between facts, inferences and opinions. They will also consider the process of report writing, including grammar, layout, format and style. They will receive a model format which can be adapted to suit the field and context that is required.
