What you will learn

What is the managed learning programme?
This is a package course that has been developed by Logic Certification Limited (LCL) and is recognised by the gas industry’s Standard Setting Body (SSB.) It is a route for new entrants to learn, develop and build a portfolio within the gas industry. Once this MLP is completed, candidates can then move on to the new entrant ACS assessment, allowing them to be on the Gas Safe Register

What does the MLP cover?
This gas engineer course introduces candidates to the gas industry, covering basic plumbing and heating knowledge – it is made up of both theoretical and practical study, allowing candidates to gain sufficient knowledge and skills to work safely within the Domestic Gas industry. The course specifically covers:

  • Introduction to plumbing, gas, and heating theory and principles.

To progress to the ACS assessment, candidates must submit a portfolio of work that has been carried out under the guidance of gas safe registered engineers – there is time on the course to build this portfolio. If candidates are struggling to find a company to do a placement with to build their portfolio, Technique Learning Solutions can find you a company, enabling candidates to become qualified in quick time and have the ability to enter on to the Gas safety Register.
