About this course
This training is for those involved with writing and issuing permits for the following work activities – Hot works / Working at Height / Confined space / Excavation / Lock off Tag Off, and other permit-controlled activities.
The training session will focus on employer and personal responsibilities in the creation and audit of permits. The course can be made company specific to incorporate individual permits with prior agreement.
This course will explain the purpose of permit-to-work systems and what type of high risk activities may require them. It covers what sections a permit should contain, who has the responsibility for preparing them, and the duties of everyone who will need to carry out work covered by a permit.
What you will learn
On completion of the course, you will understand how to prepare a permit, or how to follow it if your workplace receives one, so you can ensure everyone carries out high risk work safely.

Could have used an introductory section giving a summary of permit to works and an example one before launching into the Q&A on what we currently do. Steve was a good trainer and there was plenty of time for questions and work shopping.
