Description
Many of us are taught how to care for animals, but not how to care for ourselves.
This can leave us feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and over faced. But it doesn’t need to be like this – it shouldn’t be.
We don’t need to operate from a constant cycle of trying to ‘do all of the things, all of the time’, and burning out because of it.
It is okay to put yourself first; to take care before you give it. You do not need to have everything ‘done’ before you rest. Taking time to play, relax, explore or lean into whatever it is you need right now – without feeling guilty – is a skill. It needs practice and persistence. And it’s the key to being able to do good work and feel good whilst doing it.
